Interrupting Devices

Vacuum Interrupter

Provides full load break capability up to 34kV and 2000A. Applications include loop sectionalizing, line dropping, load interrupting, reactor switching, capacitor switching, cable switching and transformer magnetizing switching.

Quick Break Interrupter

Provides a means for high velocity contact separation independent of the operating speed of the switch. Capable of interrupting limited amounts of line charging and transformer magnetizing current.

Expulsion Interrupter

Provides economical interrupting capabilities up to 600 A.

Arcing Horns

Protects switch contacts from arcing damage under low current switching application.

Control Operating Devices

Gear operator

Reduces the switch operating effort and is primarily used to overcome increased operating forces created when arc-restricting devices are required on a switch.

Motor Operator

Allows motorized switch operation from either a local or remote location.

Grounding Switch

Provides a visible means of system grounding

Auxiliary Switch

Provides a method for remotely determining switch position and for electrical interlocking.
