Job Summary

The Machine Operator will be responsible for performing various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on assigned machines. The Machine Operator will also be responsible for inspecting parts to specifications and adjusting or making tool changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications.

 

Machine Operator Responsibilities:

  • Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment start and safe operation of multiple pieces of equipment
  • Set up and operate a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
  • Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams to select, position, and secure machinery.  Adjust machines settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely manner
  • Must be able to work both independently and as a team to achieve production and departmental goals
  • Operate/monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops
  • Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials
  • Communicate with manager and maintenance team when repairs are needed to ensure machines operate at peak performance
  • May perform other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications for Machine Operator:

  • Prior experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, while following standardized work requirements, and adhering to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment
  • Must be able to work both independently and as a team to achieve production and departmental goals
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and written instructions to fabricate to exact specifications is required
  • Must have physical stamina, ability to stand while performing job duties, and ability to lift 50+ pounds as needed throughout workday
  • Knowledge of Production Procedures and Safety Requirements preferred
  • Ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities is preferred

  • Work under the direction of a group leader
  • Responsible for continually maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Follow written and verbal instructions
  • Assembles material components using both hand tools and power tools
  • Perform required manufacturing processes while meeting all quality and production standards
  • May perform other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications for Production/Assembly:

  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Prior experience working in industrial manufacturing industry preferred
  • Demonstrated punctual and dependable performance
  • Ability to follow written/verbal instruction to produce final product according to specification
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
  • Position requires ability to stand for prolonged periods of time, repeated bending, kneeling, and stooping
  • Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, and odors

Shipping Clerk

Job Summary

The Shipping Clerk sees that accurate records are kept of all products received and shipped. The Shipping Clerk tracks shipments and makes sure that products reach the desired location promptly. Additionally, they are tasked with updating and providing accurate records of inventory.

 

Shipping Clerk Responsibilities:

  • Practice customer service when interacting with other companies and clients and ensure that all external parties have a positive interaction with our company
  • Ensure all shipments receive the proper labeling and postal charges and are packaged to arrive safely
  • Keep management and supervisors aware of product shortages to maintain accurate information on the company website
  • Organize stock and merchandise within the warehouse by properly boxing and storing goods in their designated locations
  • Verify all incoming shipments to be accurate by comparing the invoice to order and ensuring all goods are in acceptable condition
  • Accurately package, label, and weigh items to be shipped ensuring proper shipment method and shipping charges
  • Prepare detailed and accurate invoices to accompany shipments and ensure all items are packaged and shipped to company standards
  • Work with other shipping clerks to ensure all invoicing is handled properly and promptly
  • May perform other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications for Shipping Clerk:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, as many packages are large
  • Ability to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods of time and working primarily standing
  • Proficiency utilizing sit-down forklift effectively in enclosed and open-air spaces required
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Interpersonal skills are essential, as working as a team is vital to maintaining an organized warehouse
  • Experience using a forklift and professional forklift certification is strongly preferred
  • Ability to problem solve quickly and prioritize daily tasks according to their importance
  • Personal accountability and integrity are paramount, as a shipping clerk is tasked with an accurate accounting of all inventory levels
  • Relevant customer service experience is a plus as shipping clerks interact with customers to replace lost or damaged goods
  • Excellent oral and communication skills
  • Proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel
  • Good team player who can work efficiently with minimal supervision
